Job Title: Senior Consultant, SAP MM

Location: Hyderabad, India
Report to: CoE MM Lead
Travel: 15 – 20%  

Job Summary

• An experienced and highly skilled SAP Senior Consultant to join Dangote SAP Delivery Center in India. Role involves playing a critical part in the design, implementation, optimization, and support of our SAP solutions. You will work closely with business users, project teams, and technical specialists to translate business requirements into effective SAP functionalities, ensuring our systems drive efficiency and support strategic objectives.
• The ideal candidate will possess deep functional or technical expertise in at least one core SAP module, a strong understanding of integration points, and proven experience in delivering successful SAP projects.

Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Solution Design:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document complex business requirements, processes, and pain points within your assigned SAP module(s).
• Analyze existing systems and processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement through SAP functionalities and best practices.
• Design, propose, and document robust SAP solutions that align with business needs and enterprise architecture standards.

Configuration & Customization:

• Perform hands-on configuration and customization of the relevant SAP module(s) ( FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, QM).
• This includes setting up master data, organizational structures, transactional processes, pricing procedures, account determination, etc., based on the module.
• Ensure configurations meet functional specifications and integrate seamlessly with other SAP modules

Implementation & Project Support:

• Actively participate in all phases of the SAP project lifecycle, including blueprinting, realization, testing, cutover, and post-go-live support.
• Prepare detailed functional specifications for custom developments (RICEF objects: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) and work closely with ABAP developers.
• Support data migration activities, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Develop test scripts, execute unit testing, support system integration testing (SIT), and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identify, analyze, and resolve defects and issues encountered during testing and post-implementation.

User Training & Support:

• Develop and deliver training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure effective adoption of SAP functionalities.
• Provide ongoing Level 2/3 support for SAP modules, troubleshooting issues and providing timely resolutions.
• Manage and prioritize incidents and change requests within your area of expertise.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flows, functional specifications, configuration guides, and user manuals.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives within the SAP team and mentor junior consultants.

Integration & Cross-Module Collaboration:

• Understand and manage integration points between your primary SAP module(s) and other modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, WM, QM, PS, ).
• Collaborate effectively with other SAP functional consultants and technical teams to ensure integrated solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• 8-10 years of hands-on experience as an SAP Consultant in a specific functional or technical module (e.g., SAP FI/CO, SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP PP, SAP, SAP ABAP).
• Proven experience participating in at least 2-3 full lifecycle SAP implementation projects or significant enhancement projects.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable. Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 is also valuable.

Technical Proficiency (specific to module):

• Functional Consultants: In-depth knowledge of module-specific configurations, master data, transactional processes, and reporting capabilities.
• Technical Consultants (e.g., ABAP): Strong programming skills in ABAP, Fiori development, interfaces (IDocs, Proxies), enhancements (BADIs, User Exits), and debugging.
• Basis Consultants: Strong knowledge of SAP system administration, installation, upgrades, performance tuning, and database management.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Relevant SAP certification in your area of expertise (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate, SAP Certified Development Associate, SAP Certified Technology Associate).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a multinational or diverse business environment.
• Knowledge of emerging SAP technologies like SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Analytics Cloud, or industry-specific solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile project methodologies.
• Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management processes.
