Job Title: Accountant / Administrative Officer

Job Summary
The Accountant / Administrative Officer will manage day-to-day financial transactions, reporting, statutory compliance and office administration to support smooth business operations across logistics, e-commerce and food-delivery service lines.
The role ensures accurate record-keeping, efficient administrative processes, compliance with Nigerian financial regulations, timely payroll support, and proper documentation across departments.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including postings, reconciliations and ledger management in line with regulatory and internal standards.
Process accounts payable and receivable—prepare invoices, track payments, follow up on outstanding receivables and reconcile all balances.
Prepare financial reports (monthly, quarterly and annual) and support budgeting, variance analysis and financial planning.
Ensure full compliance with Nigerian financial regulations (FIRS, PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension, NHF) and maintain documentation for statutory filings and regulatory audits.
Support external and internal audits: prepare audit schedules, maintain supporting documentation and respond to auditor queries.
Payroll processing—attendance validation, deductions/allowances, statutory remittances and payroll reconciliation.
Oversee office administration including procurement of supplies, vendor management, asset tracking and general office upkeep.
Prepare payment vouchers, petty cash reconciliations and manage COD/cash handling documentation where applicable.
Manage company correspondence, meeting coordination, travel schedules and filing systems (physical and digital).
Maintain accurate financial and administrative documentation ensuring confidentiality, accessibility and regulatory compliance.
Provide administrative support across departments to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of business activities.
Job Specific Responsibilities
Financial documentation: Ensure all journals, ledgers, receipts and vouchers are up-to-date and compliant with audit requirements.
Statutory compliance: Manage PAYE, VAT, WHT, pension, NHF and any regulatory filings required for logistics/e-commerce operations.
Procurement: Maintain an approved vendor list, track purchase requests and ensure timely delivery of office supplies/equipment.
Payroll & HR support: Maintain employee records, assist with on-boarding documentation, benefits and statutory deductions.
Reconciliations: Bank reconciliation, vendor reconciliation, customer reconciliation and COD reconciliation (if applicable).
Office operations: Ensure availability of facility utilities, office items, consumables and administrative logistics needed by the team.
Requirements
Minimum of an HND or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fields
3+ years’ experience in finance, accounting, auditing or administrative roles (logistics/e-commerce experience is an added advantage).
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, analysis and reconciliation templates).
Strong understanding of bookkeeping, AP/AR processes, reconciliations and financial reporting.
Knowledge of Nigerian regulatory and statutory requirements (tax filings, pensions, WHT, audit compliance).
Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and communication skills with high attention to detail.
High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism in handling financial and employee information.
Salary
N400,000 - N500,000 monthly.
