We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Procurement / Business Manager (Mining)

Location: Ikeja GRA, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Plans and designs mines, ensuring safety, efficiency, and commercial viability.
• Oversees day-to-day operations, manages teams, and ensures adherence to safety regulations.
• Assists in the extraction and processing of minerals, operating and maintaining equipment, and conducting site inspections.
• Operates machinery, designs entryways, and operates explosives to extract ore and rocks.
• Supports miners, performing various tasks to assist in the extraction of resources.
• Designs and implements mining projects, ensuring alignment with safety, environmental, and economic considerations.
• Collects and analyzes data, prepares sketches and notes, and verifies the accuracy of survey information.
• Ability to solve problem, think of a better way to outsource for materials for company.

Skills and Experience

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in mining-related computer software, understanding of mining operations and processes, ability to develop and implement advanced mining techniques.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify optimal mining locations and methods, and prepare reports on production metrics.
• Management Skills: Leadership, team management, project management, and the ability to train and mentor staff.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, ability to present information effectively, and collaborate with various teams.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues, troubleshoot complex problems, and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the mining industry and the ability to ensure safe working practices.

Experience:

• Prior experience in the mining industry, particularly in roles related to the specific job function.
• Ability to identify quality materials with high percentage of lead composite.
