We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Facility Manager

Location: Ibafo, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • The Facility Manager will be responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and improving the company’s buildings, infrastructure, and grounds to ensure they are safe, functional, efficient, and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • This role coordinates all facility-related activities including maintenance, repairs, security, space management, and vendor relationships to support smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations & Maintenance:

  • Oversee daily facility operations, ensuring all systems (electrical, plumbing, etc.) function optimally.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate and supervise repairs, refurbishments, and upgrades.
  • Manage building utilities and ensure energy efficiency.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

  • Ensure facilities meet environmental regulations.
  • Implement workplace safety programs and emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with HSE team to conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.

Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Select, negotiate with, and manage service providers (cleaning, maintenance, etc.).
  • Monitor vendor performance against agreed service levels.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Prepare and manage the facility budget.
  • Monitor expenses, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Space & Asset Management

  • Plan and optimize workspace layouts to meet organizational needs.
  • Maintain asset registers for equipment, furniture, and fixtures.

Security & Access Control

  • Collaborate with the security team to ensure physical security of premises, assets, and personnel.
  • Manage access control systems and surveillance equipment.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate facility records, contracts, and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare periodic facility reports for management review.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Reduction in facility downtime.
  • Maintenance requests resolved within agreed timeframes.
  • Compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Vendor performance ratings.
  • Cost savings achieved without compromising quality.

Key Requirements
Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g. NIM, Certified Facility Manager, NEBOSH) are an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in facility management, building maintenance, or related field.
  • Proven track record of managing budgets, vendors, and multi-site operations (if applicable).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and facility management software.
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
