We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Marketing Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

  • GrowthBoosters is seeking a proactive, results-oriented B2B Engagement Officer to lead the acquisition and management of SME and corporate clients across Lagos.
  • This role is ideal for a self-starter who excels in field engagement, relationship-building, and closing high-quality business leads.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding our B2B footprint, driving strategic partnerships, and strengthening GrowthBoosters' brand visibility within the SME, retail, and asset-financing ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
B2B Acquisition & Relationship Management:

  • Execute GrowthBoosters' B2B acquisition strategy to identify, engage, and onboard SMEs, agencies, cooperatives, and business partners.
  • Conduct structured outreach, sales visits, and presentations to explain platform benefits and funding opportunities.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads, ensuring consistent follow-up and high conversion rates.
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat campaigns and deeper partnerships.

Market Development & Field Engagement:

  • Lead field activation efforts across key business hubs, markets, associations, and trade clusters in Lagos.
  • Identify partnership opportunities with aggregators, business networks, and sector associations.
  • Conduct market research to understand SME pain points, financing needs, and decision-making patterns.

Client Support & Coordination:

  • Support SMEs through the onboarding process, ensuring smooth documentation and campaign set-up.
  • Gather and share client feedback to inform product improvements and sales strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Lead to refine pitch materials, messaging, and engagement tactics.

Reporting & Performance:

  • Track outreach activities and maintain detailed engagement records.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on pipeline status, conversions, and market insights.
  • Consistently meet or exceed assigned B2B acquisition and engagement targets.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, field marketing, or partnership acquisition.
  • Strong understanding of fintech, lending, digital platforms, or SME-facing products.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, manage pipelines, and close business deals.
  • Target-driven, self-motivated, and highly accountable.
  • Comfortable with field work across Lagos (meetings, market visits, cluster engagement).
  • Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced startup environment.
