Ave Maria Microfinance Bank Limited is a fully licensed microfinance bank authorized by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). It was registered and incorporated as a private company with the Corporate Affairs Commission on May 10, 2022.
Founded by the Catholic Diocese of Oyo, the bank aims to serve all individuals, focusing on the poor and vulnerable, regardless of religion, race, or gender, who are financially excluded.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Marketing and Credit to lead our marketing strategies and oversee our credit operations.
This role involves developing innovative marketing campaigns, enhancing customer engagement, and ensuring the effective management of credit processes, as well as a suitable recovery methodology.
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of marketing expertise, credit portfolio management, financial insight, and leadership skills to drive growth and enhance our brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Oversee credit operations, including risk assessment, loan origination, portfolio management, and recovery.
Analyze market trends and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth and improvement in existing products and services.
Lead and mentor the marketing and credit teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and performance.
Manage the marketing budget and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, utilizing data to optimize future initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of marketing and credit activities.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to marketing and credit.
Ensure timely and quality credit assessment and decisions are made.
Manage adherence to the service level agreement that has been concluded.
Detects and evaluates shifts or changes in key risk parameters and evaluates the implications of such changes on the continued banking relationship.
Actively hind-sighting lending decisions to ensure that the correct procedures are being followed in the approval of facilities, which will prevent new NPLs.
Regular perusal of relevant internal & external communication, such as circulars, economic reviews on industries, & financial or industry publications to ensure that any development, new requirements or external risks are properly taken cognizance of in lending decisions or conditions of lending.
Staff training internally (marketing and credit staff) and externally by supporting staff, with the emphasis on the requirements to make a meaningful assessment of the credit risks involved.
Manage the implementation of business credit processing systems and software, and monitor their performance.
Participate in the relevant committees as required.
Ensure proper management and monitoring of the Bank's Retail NPL book.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing and credit management, preferably in MFBs.
Proven track record of developing successful marketing strategies and managing credit processes.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in analyzing data to drive decision-making
Excellent leadership and team management skills with a focus on achieving results.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
MCIB is Compulsory.
