A leading Multinational Group of Companies is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Regional Security Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and managing the security system in the assigned area of responsibility which includes ensuring the conduct of permanent assessment of the security situation.
• Intelligence gathering of security threats and conducting proper analyses; timely conducting of the Security Risk Assessments (SRA) in the region in order to identify the existing threats and risks to staff and assets on the ground.
• Recommending proper risk mitigation measures to the Company Chief Security Officer; ensuring that security policies, plans, and procedures are strictly followed by all staff members, and ensuring proper response in emergency situations.
• Providing guidance and recommendations to management on all aspects of safety and security; providing timely and effective support on issues that may have an impact on safety and security.
• Developing regional specific security plans, procedures, and instructions and ensuring that they are firmly implemented in the entire region under his/her responsibility, based on the security policies.
• Submitting timely security reports to the Company Chief Security Officer and ensuring that security upgrades and enhancements in the respective areas of responsibility are implemented.
• Ensuring preparedness for emergency situations and incident response to ensure safety of staff in all permanent bases of the assigned region.
• Participating in inter-agency security network at the regional level, co-operating with representatives of other organizations in the area of responsibility in dealing with common security issues.
• Carrying out liaison with host government security services as well as the facility security providers in the areas.
• Supporting site patrols and surveillance activity and important occurrences.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• First Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Engineering, social sciences or related field.
• Minimum of 10 - 15 years proven experience as security officer.
• Military training of not less than the rank of an Army Captain or its equivalent.
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
• Familiarity with report writing.
• Experience in a multi-cultural environment necessary.
• Experience in conducting assessments preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 80% of the time as Roving Regional Security Officer.
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
• Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems.
• Trained in First Aid and self-defense.
