Job Title: Junior Backend Engineer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and APIs.
• Work with Node.js to implement scalable server-side logic.
• Integrate and manage PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and product teams.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving team standards.
• Handle version control and collaboration through Git.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.

Required Skills

• Minimum 1 year experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in Node.js
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with MongoDB
• Strong understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript
• Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows
• Ability to write clean and efficient backend logic
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
