Impact Coordinator (Volunteer) at Rec Room Wellness

Rec Room Wellness is a social enterprise dedicated to addressing the global mental health crisis by creating safe and brave spaces for relaxation, education, and fun. At our events, you will learn important topics to boost your awareness of your mental health, put words to feelings, and build resilience against the adversities of life. You will also practice self-care activities, learn new hobbies, and create connections with like-minded community members. We also offer wellness workshops for students and staff, longitudinal wellness cohorts, and in-person wellness events and retreats.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Impact Coordinator (Volunteer)

Location: Lagos

Objective

• To ensure that Rec Room Wellness delivers measurable, evidence-based transformation in the community. This role focuses on tracking growth, capturing participant voices, and ensuring Rec Room Wellness’ impact is both visible and sustainable.
• The Impact Coordinator helps translate data and experiences into meaningful insights for internal learning, stakeholders, and funders.

Core Responsibilities
Event & Program Support:

• Manage outreach events in collaboration with Fellows and the Wellness Team.
• Ensure smooth coordination between program delivery and evaluation.

Tracking & Evaluation:

• Monitor program outcomes, participant growth, and feedback.
• Design and manage surveys, focus groups, and evaluation tools.
• Build systems to capture ongoing community transformation.
• Support Fellows and session facilitators in collecting accurate data.

Reporting:

• Prepare regular reports for funders, partners, stakeholders, and internal learning.
• Use clear data visualization to present insights on impact.
• Maintain transparency and accountability in program reporting.

Research & Innovation:

• Spearhead and coordinate any research projects at Rec Room Wellness.
• Stay updated on trends in mental health, digital wellness, and community-based evaluation.
• Introduce innovative methods for measuring wellness outcomes.

Workflow

• Planning – Align with program teams before events to set evaluation goals.
• Implementation – Support data collection during and after events.
• Analysis – Synthesize feedback and participant outcomes into meaningful insights.
• Reporting – Share findings with leadership, stakeholders, and funders.
• Learning – Recommend improvements to curriculum and program design.

Tools & Platforms:

• Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms)
• Data visualization tools (Google Data Studio, Canva, or similar)
• WhatsApp (for team coordination)
• Survey platforms (Google Forms, Typeform, or equivalent)

Expectations

• Commitment to a minimum of 6 months, renewable by agreement.
• Attend key planning and reflection meetings.
• Deliver accurate reports on time.
• Handle sensitive participant data with confidentiality and ethics.
• Uphold Rec Room Wellness’ mission, values, and focus on community transformation.

Requirements
Skills & Qualities:

• Strong organizational and research skills.
• Ability to work with both quantitative and qualitative data.
• Familiarity with surveys, focus groups, and basic data visualization tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• A heart for community wellness, growth, and storytelling through impact.

Other Requirements:

• An interest in mental wellness, service, and positive community building
• Consistency and reliability (5-10 hours weekly, depending on role)
• Good communication skills
