Above Lifestyle is a premium service restaurant, lounge and club located in Lekki, Ikotun and Abuja.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cook

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Above Lifestyle standards.
• Follow recipes strictly to ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
• Assist in prepping ingredients—cutting, marinating, seasoning, mixing, etc.
• Ensure meals are delivered on time, especially during peak service.

Quality & Presentation:

• Plate dishes neatly and professionally as instructed by the Head Chef.
• Check food quality, freshness, and portioning before serving.
• Report any quality issues or missing ingredients immediately.

Kitchen Hygiene & Safety:

• Maintain a clean, sanitized workstation throughout the shift.
• Wash utensils, tools, and equipment after use.
• Follow all food hygiene, safety, and handling regulations (HACCP, hygiene checkpoints).
• Properly store raw materials and leftovers using FIFO (first-in, first-out) method.

Inventory & Stock Handling:

• Assist in receiving, confirming, and storing deliveries.
• Monitor ingredient levels and report shortages to the Head Chef.
• Reduce waste through proper portioning and careful handling.

Teamwork & Communication:

• Work closely with other cooks and kitchen assistants to ensure smooth service.
• Communicate effectively with the Head Chef and waitstaff regarding order readiness.
• Maintain a positive attitude and support team efforts.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a minimum of OND qualification.
