Job Title: Principal Geologist

Location: Sabon, Niger

Job Purpose

• Generate new exploration projects, assess opportunities, and develop a robust exploration project pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of employees and equipment
• Lead development of the exploration project pipeline and create mineral prospectivity maps
• Compile and analyse exploration data for informed decisions
• Generate new project opportunities and assess the prospectivity of exploration projects
• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Professional Geologist designation with BSc (Hons) and MSc in exploration geology or related field
• 10+ years of experience in exploration, including Greenfields and high-value minerals
• In-depth knowledge of geochemical and geophysical exploration methods
• Strong understanding of ore-forming systems and exploration models
• Proficient in GIS, borehole plotting, and data management software
• Excellent communication skills and experience in technical report writing.
