Role Overview

• We are seeking a confident and passionate female educator to join our Key Stage 1 team.
• The ideal candidate will provide a nurturing and engaging learning environment for Grade 1 pupils, guiding their academic, social, and emotional development while reflecting the school’s values.

Key Responsibilities
Professionalism and Conduct:

• Uphold high standards of professionalism in interactions with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Serve as a role model in appearance, speech, and conduct, demonstrating integrity, emotional intelligence, and leadership.
• Reflect the school’s values and mission in all aspects of school life.

Lesson Planning and Instruction:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum, promoting literacy, numeracy, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Use teaching strategies such as play-based learning, constructivism, and experiential methods to support holistic development.
• Submit weekly lesson plans and maintain a structured classroom schedule.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs while maintaining academic standards.

Classroom Management:

• Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
• Manage classroom resources and digital equipment responsibly.
• Foster positive student behaviour with a nurturing and consistent approach.

Student Assessment and Reporting:

• Regularly assess student understanding using quizzes, projects, and other formative methods.
• Track academic progress and prepare timely reports for parents and school leadership.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and developmental milestones.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Maintain proactive communication with parents, colleagues, and leadership.
• Support school events, co-curricular activities, and enrichment programs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance classroom delivery.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure student safety at all times.
• Maintain hygiene standards and report potential hazards promptly.
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and ICT safety protocols.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Female, confident, well-spoken, and presentable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field from a reputable university.
• TRCN certification (mandatory).
• Prior experience teaching Grade 1 or early primary classes is highly desirable.
• Skilled in modern teaching pedagogy, including play-based, experiential, and constructivist methods.
• High energy, nurturing presence, and leadership capability.
