Job Title: Experienced ICT Teacher

Location: Owerri / Irete, Imo

Job Summary

• We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Experienced ICT Teacher to join our academic team.
• The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop digital literacy, technical proficiency, and problem-solving skills while preparing them for the demands of a technology-driven world.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging ICT lessons across multiple levels, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
• Design and implement lesson plans that integrate theory with practical applications.
• Teach core ICT concepts such as computer systems, programming, networking, databases, and emerging technologies.
• Incorporate digital tools and e-learning platforms to enhance teaching and learning.
• Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations.
• Provide individualized support to students with varying levels of ICT proficiency.
• Stay updated on ICT trends and integrate them into classroom instruction.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-disciplinary projects and initiatives.
• Promote responsible digital citizenship and online safety practices.
• Contribute to extracurricular ICT activities such as coding clubs, robotics, or competitions.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Teaching qualification or certification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
• Minimum of 1 - 3 years teaching experience in ICT or related subjects.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving student success.
• Experience with e-learning platforms and digital classroom tools.
• Industry experience in ICT or computing (preferred but not mandatory).

Essential Skills:

• Strong knowledge of ICT curriculum and emerging technologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, HTML/CSS, JavaScript).
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex concepts clearly.
• Classroom management expertise to maintain a productive learning environment.
• Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning effectively.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to guide students in practical projects.
• Adaptability to new teaching methods, tools, and ICT innovations.
• Team collaboration and willingness to share best practices.
