Job Title: Experienced ICT Teacher
Location: Owerri / Irete, Imo
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Experienced ICT Teacher to join our academic team.
The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop digital literacy, technical proficiency, and problem-solving skills while preparing them for the demands of a technology-driven world.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging ICT lessons across multiple levels, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
Design and implement lesson plans that integrate theory with practical applications.
Teach core ICT concepts such as computer systems, programming, networking, databases, and emerging technologies.
Incorporate digital tools and e-learning platforms to enhance teaching and learning.
Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations.
Provide individualized support to students with varying levels of ICT proficiency.
Stay updated on ICT trends and integrate them into classroom instruction.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-disciplinary projects and initiatives.
Promote responsible digital citizenship and online safety practices.
Contribute to extracurricular ICT activities such as coding clubs, robotics, or competitions.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Teaching qualification or certification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
Minimum of 1 - 3 years teaching experience in ICT or related subjects.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving student success.
Experience with e-learning platforms and digital classroom tools.
Industry experience in ICT or computing (preferred but not mandatory).
Essential Skills:
Strong knowledge of ICT curriculum and emerging technologies.
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, HTML/CSS, JavaScript).
Excellent communication skills for explaining complex concepts clearly.
Classroom management expertise to maintain a productive learning environment.
Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning effectively.
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to guide students in practical projects.
Adaptability to new teaching methods, tools, and ICT innovations.
Team collaboration and willingness to share best practices.
