Job Title: Live-in Chef / Cook to the Managing Director

Location: Oniru - Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are looking for a dedicated Live-In Chef who will handle all meal planning, preparation, cooking, and kitchen management duties for the Managing Director.
• The ideal candidate must have strong culinary experience, excellent hygiene standards, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals for the Managing Director based on preferences and dietary needs.
• Cook a wide range of local Nigerian dishes (e.g., soups, stews, native meals, grills, traditional cuisines).
• Prepare continental dishes, including pastas, salads, sauces, baked meals, grills, and breakfast items.
• Plan weekly menus and ensure variety, nutrition, and freshness.
• Manage kitchen operations professionally, including cleanliness, food storage, and organisation.
• Ensure excellent food presentation and fine-dining style standards when required.
• Purchase fresh food items, groceries, and kitchen supplies while maintaining a budget.
• Maintain strict hygiene practices at all times.
• Provide timely meals based on the MD’s work schedule (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
• Handle special dietary requests when necessary.
• Ensure proper stock management to avoid waste.
• Maintain a respectful and professional demeanour within the household environment.

Requirements

• Must be willing to live-in full-time.
• Proven experience as a chef or cook (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
• Skilled in both local and continental cuisine.
• Strong ability to plan menus and prepare meals independently.
• Excellent personal hygiene, grooming, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be trustworthy, respectful, and highly disciplined.
• Good communication skills.
• Open to applicants from any tribe in Nigeria.

Salary
N120,000 - N150,000 Monthly.
