Job Title: Head, Financial Operations & Tax

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

About the Role

• The Head of Financial Operations & Tax oversees the company’s financial reporting, accounting operations, compliance, and tax management.
• This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, strong controls, and alignment with IFRS while supporting the organization’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all finance operations: AP, AR, payroll, inventory, fixed assets, GL, and reconciliations.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax laws, and internal policies.
• Oversee tax strategy, filings, audits (VAT, CIT, WHT, Transfer Pricing).
• Implement digital transformation across finance operations
• Strengthen internal controls, manage risks, and support audits.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to senior leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance operations team.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (ICAN/ACCA) certificate
• Minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience
• Strong experience in financial operations, tax, compliance, and reporting.
• Industry background in banking, corporate finance, investment management, or telecoms preferred.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Sun).
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and process improvement skills.
