We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Finance Lead (Agri-foods Solar Sales Focus)
Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full-time
About the Role
The Finance Lead will manage the financial operations, controls, and reporting for a new program supporting young women in the agrifood value chain with solar systems and energy-efficient freezers.
The role is responsible for the full spectrum of grant-related financial management: day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, documentation, budget tracking, compliance, and preparation of periodic reports.
A central part of this role is developing and managing simple, inclusive payment-plan processes tailored to the cashflows of women traders. This includes subscription models, lease-to-own, and hybrid plans that align with daily and weekly market rhythms.
Because these payment plans require only BVN and verifiable business locations, the Finance Lead will design screening, onboarding, and risk-assessment steps that keep access easy while ensuring portfolio quality.
This will require direct engagement in the field to understand customer realities, repayment behavior, and the operational challenges agents face.
The Finance Lead will also ensure accurate financial reporting, documentation, and compliance with all donor requirements, maintaining strict alignment with approved budgets, record-keeping standards, and SunFi’s internal controls. Over time, this role will grow into a core part of SunFi’s finance team, supporting the scaling of these payment-plan models across other markets and regions.
