As a denomination, The Foursquare Church has a unique history that stems from missions and evangelism. It began as a powerful evangelistic movement and spread throughout the nations to become the global family it is today. The Foursquare Church’s Founder Aimee Semple McPherson was a woman of intense passion, creativity and energy. She led an incredible life that exemplified God’s miraculous mercy. She sparked revival, established a major evangelical center in Los Angeles, and changed the lives of countless individuals.

The Foursquare Church, officially named the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, is a Pentecostal denomination that resulted from the dynamic evangelistic ministry of Aimee Semple McPherson, who opened the historic Angelus Temple on Jan. 1, 1923.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Church Administrative Secretary / Personal Assistant

Location: 40,  BAJULAIYE Road, Somolu - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

  • We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and Spirit-filled Administrative Secretary/Personal Assistant to support the Senior Pastor in fulfilling the ministry’s vision and daily responsibilities.
  • The ideal candidate will be highly disciplined, discreet, and passionate about serving in a Christian environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Senior Pastor.
  • Manage the Pastor’s schedule, appointments, and official correspondence.
  • Attend to church visitors and handle inquiries with excellent etiquette.
  • Prepare reports, minutes, memos, and documentation as required.
  • Coordinate church meetings, programs, and pastoral engagements.
  • Maintain orderly filing systems (digital and physical).
  • Assist in planning events, follow-ups, and ministry logistics.
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all matters.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Senior Pastor or church leadership.

Requirements

  • Minimum of OND / NCE in Business Administration, Secretariat Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  • 1 - 2 years of administrative experience (church or NGO experience is an advantage).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic computer operations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • High level of integrity, maturity, and confidentiality.
  • Must be a committed Christian with good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Competencies:

  • Good record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to draft letters and official correspondence.
  • Strong people-relationship ability and emotional intelligence.
  • Social media or basic design skills (added advantage).
  • Calm, respectful, and service-oriented personality.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday + Sunday services (Tuesdays exempted)
  • Flexibility for special church programs.
