Job Title: Mixologist

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Mixologist is responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, developing unique cocktails, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining bar hygiene, and promoting an enjoyable experience for guests.
• The role requires creativity, precision, product knowledge, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Drink Preparation & Service:

• Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, wines, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
• Create new and innovative drink recipes to enhance the menu.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of all drinks.
• Provide drink recommendations based on guests’ preferences.
• Maintain correct portion control in drink preparation.

Customer Service:

• Engage customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Understand customer needs and deliver personalized drink suggestions.
• Handle customer complaints politely and promptly.
• Maintain a positive atmosphere and ensure customers feel welcomed.

Bar Operations:

• Set up and break down the bar before and after shifts.
• Ensure proper storage, rotation, and handling of beverages and ingredients.
• Maintain stock levels and notify management of low inventory.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Operate bar equipment (blenders, shakers, POS systems, etc.) safely and correctly.

Hygiene & Safety:

• Maintain cleanliness of bar counters, equipment, and utensils.
• Follow company and regulatory guidelines for food and beverage handling.
• Monitor expiry dates of ingredients and discard expired items.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and monitor intoxicated guests appropriately.

Administrative Duties:

• Record daily sales and consumption reports.
• Participate in menu planning and cost control discussions.
• Attend team meetings, training, and performance reviews.

Qualifications & Experience

• Candidates should possess an SSCE/OND (Higher qualifications an advantage) 1–3 years professional experience as a Mixologist or Bartender.
• Certification in Mixology or Bar Service is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of cocktail trends and premium spirits preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktails, and flavor profiles.
• Excellent customer-service and communication skills.
• Creativity and ability to develop new recipes.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail in presentation and drink measurement.
• Good understanding of bar hygiene and safety regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long hours.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 20kg (e.g., crates, cartons).
• Good hand–eye coordination and manual dexterity.
