The Sales Manager (Telecommunications) will be responsible for leading a high-performing sales team to achieve revenue targets within the telecommunications sector.
This role requires a strategic, results-oriented leader with a strong understanding of telecom products (e.g., VoIP, broadband, enterprise networks, mobile services, fiber optic solutions) and a proven track record of B2B or B2C sales success.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and tactical plans to achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across assigned market segments (e.g., Enterprise, SME, Carrier/Operator).
Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential new product/service offerings.
Manage the entire sales pipeline from prospecting to contract closing, ensuring accurate sales forecasting and reporting to senior management.
Lead negotiations and finalize contracts for complex telecom solutions, ensuring profitable and mutually beneficial agreements.
Team Leadership and Management:
Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a team of Sales Representatives, Account Managers, and Sales Engineers.
Set clear performance metrics (KPIs), monitor team performance, and provide coaching for continuous improvement.
Foster a culture of sales excellence, accountability, and customer-centricity within the team.
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and pipeline reviews to support team members in closing high-value deals.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key client stakeholders, including C-level executives.
Act as a point of escalation for complex client issues, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Technical, Product, Marketing) to develop customized solutions that meet specific client requirements.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and drive customer retention and upsell opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Telecommunications, computer science or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3 years in a sales leadership/management role within the telecommunications industry.
Proven, verifiable track record of meeting or exceeding significant sales targets and driving revenue growth.
