Our Selection Criteria
Your application will be judged against the following:
Must Currently Be A Student: You need to be an undergraduate student in any recognised tertiary institution in Africa. Your role as an intern involves understanding the unique challenges and opportunities students face, so being actively enrolled in school is key.
Passion For Leadership and Growth: You don’t need a long history of leadership roles, but you do need the drive to lead and the desire to grow. We’re looking for students who are eager to develop their leadership capacity and help others do the same through their actions.
Must Be Available: We understand that life as a student can be busy, but this role will require you to dedicate 4-8 hours weekly to your responsibilities. So, effective self-management is crucial, and availability is non-negotiable.
Passion For Social Impact: We want leaders who are genuinely passionate about making a difference in their communities. Whether it’s through service projects, mentoring others, or driving change on a larger scale, you need to care deeply about making an impact.
Good Digital Footprint: In today’s digital age, your online presence matters. As part of our selection process, we’ll take a look at your social media profiles to ensure that they reflect the values and integrity of a future leader at The Emerge Club.
Commitment To Service: At TEC, service is at the heart of what we do. Whether you’re organizing events, engaging members, or strategizing, your willingness to serve and support others is essential.
Team Player with Great Communication Skills: As a TEC National Officer, you’ll be part of a team spread across Nigeria. Being able to communicate and collaborate effectively with your team is crucial for success.
Innovation and Creative Problem-Solving: When challenges arise, we need innovative thinkers who can bring fresh ideas and solutions to the table. We value individuals who can think outside the box and aren’t afraid to take action.
Integrity and Accountability: We hold our leaders to the highest standards of integrity and accountability. Your actions should reflect honesty, trustworthiness, and responsibility in all that you do.
