Job Title: Mill Operator

Location: Ilorin, Kwara 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Ensure samples and minerals purchased are stored appropriately in the warehouse.
• Assists laboratory personnel in locating and retrieval of samples and also responsible for sample disposal or returning samples to clients.
• Receives, mixes and mills samples.
• Maintains and records equipment calibrations.
• Preparation of flow card for minerals.
• Maintainsa clean work environment.
• Follow all quality system protocols, report discrepancies to the supervisor.
• May be asked to work in other areas of the factory sections.
• May be assigned and coordinate special or ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

• A minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
• A post-secondary education (degree and/or diploma) in a Science related program (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science) is a strong asset.
• Good hand/eye coordination when handling samples
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• The ability to effectively present information to all levels of the organization.
• Strong commitment to safety and improvement mindset.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work well under pressure during high (peak) workloads and balancing conflicting demands of high volume versus the quality of results.
• Ability to work well with others & independently.
• Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Extended hours and shift work may be required from time to time.
• Travel to other locations or client location may be required from time totime.
