Job Description

• The Mechanic ensures all preventative and corrective maintenance is completed within the required timescale and in accordance with the maintenance management set out by the Rig Maintenance Supervisor and in compliance with Borr Drilling Policies and Procedures.
• The Mechanic is responsible for ensuring all mechanical equipment remains functional throughout operations so as to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently perform all duties assigned by the Rig Maintenance Supervisor on the day-to-day management and long-range stewardship of the rig.
• Ensure all operations are carried out in a safe and conscientious manner and responsible for correcting or notifying responsible persons of any unsafe acts and/or conditions which exist.
• Actively participate in and contribute to pre-shift and Toolbox Talk meetings; Observation program, or special operations safety meetings and ensure any concerns or issues are reported appropriately.
• Develop yearly budget plans for unit, OPEX, MAJEX and CAPEX and exercise appropriate financial diligence in management of day-to-day operations
• Ensure full compliance to flag state requirements/training.
• Participate in regular monthly rig visits and conduct bi-annual Trust and Verify Audits.
• Become familiar with and competent in the application of the Borr Management System.

Requirements ​

• The Rig Managershall have has a minimum,a Bachelor’s Degreeor higher from a technical college or university (in lieu of this, you should have extensive experience as a Rig Manager) with a minimum of 11 years oil field experience.
• Specifically, we require individuals who have 5 years of experience in the role of Rig Manager supporting offshore drilling operations.
• Candidates must hold their Offshore Survival (OPITO BOSIET/FOET), Offshore Medical (OEUK) and IWCF / IADC Well Control Level 4.
