Job Title: Logistics Manager

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Logistics Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and supervision of all logistics operations across the organization.
• The ideal candidate will ensure efficient supply chain management, timely delivery of goods and materials, cost-effective transportation, and seamless warehouse operations while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination:

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• Oversee transportation and ensure timely delivery of products to designated locations.
• Optimize routes and reduce logistics costs.
• Ensure proper documentation of all logistics activities.

Warehouse & Inventory Management:

• Supervise warehouse operations to ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels using effective stock control procedures.
• Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of materials.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

• Manage relationships with transporters, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with logistics vendors.
• Ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Collaborate with procurement, sales, and operations teams to ensure seamless workflow.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulations.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting purposes.

Team Leadership:

• Supervise logistics officers, drivers, warehouse staff, and dispatch personnel.
• Conduct training and performance reviews for logistics team members.
• Allocate tasks effectively and monitor employee performance.
• Promote a positive and productive team environment.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

• Prepare and present logistics reports including delivery performance, cost analysis, and inventory summaries.
• Identify gaps in the logistics process and implement improvements.
• Track KPIs such as delivery timelines, warehouse efficiency, and transportation costs.
• Recommend technology solutions for logistics optimization.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4–7 years proven experience in logistics or supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of logistics processes, warehouse operations, and local transportation regulations.
• Proficiency in logistics/warehouse software and MS Office tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 / month.
