We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Supervisor
Location: Apo Resettlement, Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time
Open and close the sales floor following approved procedures and checklists.
Monitor day-to-day floor activities to ensure staff efficiency, proper staff coverage, and customer flow management.
Ensure full compliance with company policies on hygiene, dress code, punctuality, security, and break times.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping environment always.
Customer Service & Sales Support:
Ensure all staff deliver excellent customer service, greeting, assisting, and resolving customer queries professionally.
Handle escalated complaints, refunds, exchanges, and special customer requests in line with company policy.
Gather feedback and propose ideas to improve service quality, reduce product damage, and increase sales.
Support in product promotions by allocating space and assisting merchandisers with display setup and promotional materials.
Inventory & Shelf Management:
Conduct routine shelf inspections to ensure proper arrangement, accurate pricing, and removal of expired/damaged or misplaced products.
Work with inventory and procurement teams to address stock shortages, replenishments, or overstocks.
Ensure that storage rooms are clean, organized, well-lit, and pest-free with proper stock stacking and labelling.
Monitor competitor pricing and stock strategies and provide improvement suggestions.
Staff Supervision & Training:
Assign daily tasks to sales reps, shelf attendants, cashiers, and cleaners, and monitor performance.
Train and mentor new staff on store policies, safety practices, and customer service expectations.
Enforce attendance using the biometric system or manual registers and follow up on lateness or absenteeism.
Conduct basic performance appraisals and give feedback to staff for improvement.
Equipment & Facility Oversight:
Perform routine checks on POS terminals, computers, printers, generators, lighting, air conditioning, and other work tools.
Coordinate minor repairs and maintenance, and ensure availability of supplies such as cleaning materials, ink, tagging tools, etc.
Ensure all staff tools and shared equipment are used correctly and responsibly.
Security & Loss Prevention:
Monitor staff and customers to prevent theft, shoplifting, and misuse of company resources.
Review security footage where necessary and report any suspicious activity.
Ensure all regulatory visitors are properly received, verified, and reported to management before engagement.
Serve as a whistleblower in cases of fraud, sabotage, or misconduct, identity will be protected and reward considered if report is confirmed.
Reporting & Communication:
Submit daily or weekly reports on staff issues, customer complaints, returns, maintenance, forgotten items, and regulatory visits.
Maintain registers/logs such as attendance, equipment maintenance, complaint tracking, and CV submissions.
Ensure clear communication between departments regarding pricing changes, expired items, inventory needs, and other operational updates.
Additional Duties:
Ensure the store remains well-lit, well-ventilated, clean, and odour-free.
Prepare and manage product displays and promotional stands when needed.
Perform other tasks assigned by the Manager or Management.
Take responsibility for temporary assignments in other departments or units as required.
Requirements
