Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, articulate, and proactive NYSC corps member to serve as our Front Desk/Community Assistant.
This role is the face and heart of CoworkwithMTRD.
You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring the smooth daily operation of the space, and actively engaging with our community members.
This position is an excellent opportunity for a corps member looking to gain hands-on experience in business operations, customer relationship management, and community building in a fast-paced, modern environment.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Operations Management:
Member Welcome: Be the first point of contact for all members, guests, and walk-in inquiries. Provide professional and friendly assistance.
Facility Management: Ensure the space is consistently clean, organized, and presentable. Manage supplies (kitchen, office, restrooms) and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Booking Management: Handle the scheduling, booking, and setup of meeting rooms and event spaces.
Mail & Package Handling: Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages for members.
Customer Service & Community Engagement:
Member Onboarding: Assist new members with the registration process, orientation to the space, and understanding the house rules.
Relationship Building: Actively interact with members to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Conflict Resolution: Professionally and promptly address member concerns or minor disputes, escalating major issues to management when necessary.
Community Events: Assist in the planning and execution of community-building events, workshops, and networking sessions.
Administrative & Financial Support:
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of daily visitors, member attendance, and inventory.
Invoicing & Payments: Assist in tracking membership renewals and processing payments/fees (training will be provided).
Reporting: Provide weekly reports on front desk activities, space utilization, and member feedback.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree with 0 - 2 years experience
Must be a currently serving NYSC Corps Member deployed to Kaduna State.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (must be fluent in English).
A friendly, energetic, and professional demeanor—a true "people person."
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Google Workspace).
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively.
Prior customer service, hospitality, or administrative experience is a plus, but not required.
