Job Title: Enterprise Development Officer
Location: Sokoto
Key Responsibilities
Mission 1: Provide support to the FSL Programme Manager in the implementation of CFW, vocational skill, IGA and livelihoods restoration intervention in targeted communities within selected Local Government Areas (LGAs)
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Supporting the effective and timely implementation of all field level activities relating of CFW, vocational skill, IGA and livelihoods restoration under the guidance of the FSL Programme Manager.
Work with community leaders and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that IGA, CFW, Vocational skill and livelihood restoration beneficiaries are properly targeted through set of criteria.
Support the identification, contracting, and management of vendors through regular engagement, documentation of vendors’ activities and provision of timely support throughout the project.
Ensure accountability, fairness and transparency in all activities related IGA, CFW, Vocational skill and livelihood restoration by ensuring community level stakeholders are well informed and provide regular information through available channels.
Follow-ups on the program activities to ensure that program objectives and outputs are achieved and activities are implemented in accordance with standard rules, regulations and operational procedures, agreed strategies, implementation plans and requirements.
Mission 2 - Facilitate the collection and collation of information for RECAP activities through Registrations, Survey, Assessments and monitoring of IGAs
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Facilitate and supervise the collection and management of beneficiaries’ data, distribution list for reference purposes and successful implementation of program activities.
Facilitate in coordination with the M&E unit, data sourcing and analysis with the aim of improving program approaches based on evidence.
Support FSL D/PM to identify relevant agencies that can support the implementation of the livelihoods component of the RECAP project.
Support the FSL D/PM to carry out Market Assessment to determine feasible IGAs, Livelihoods and vocational skill activities in the project locations.
Contribute to organizational and sector-wide Learning through proper documentation of lessons learned, best practices, success stories, case studies, etc. on the livelihoods/IGA intervention.
Planning and participation in program monitoring and evaluation activities, like Baseline, PDMs, IGA market assessment, Market Monitoring, end line, etc. in collaboration with relevant unit/departments.
Mission 3: Reporting, Coordination and Integration of FSL in other sectors at the LGA level
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Ensure synergies between Livelihoods, peace building, WaSH, health and nutrition interventions at field level in the LGA of Intervention.
Support the integration of climate resilience into FSL activities and foster the development of durable solution in the emergency, development and peace building (HDP) nexus.
At field level, undertake effective coordination, and proper documentation of FSL interventions to ensure proper and timely reporting to relevant clusters throughout the period.
Ensure that all program-related data and information on FSL interventions component of the program is correct, updated, organized and accessible to other key stakeholders, and that lessons learnt and best practice are documented.
Facilitate and support systematic monitoring and evaluation of FSL interventions.
Support development of activities progress reports for the FSL interventions.
Mission 4: Ensure the proper HR management of the FSL Assistant
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Support the recruitment and training of FSL Assistants in collaboration with the FSL Programme Manager
Identify training and development needs of Enterprise Development Assistants and propose and/or provide training, coaching and mentoring as required.
Monitor the daily activities of the Enterprise Development Assistant in order to ensure the smooth running of the FSL program in line with HR procedures and policies.
Undertake performance management activities such as 10 minutes conversation and performance appraisals for Enterprise Development Assistants as required by HR.
In collaboration with the HR department, ensure the support to the field teams for all matters concerning human resources.
Additional Responsibilities:

Conduct all duties in a professional manner following ACF Nigeria mission staff regulations, ACF mandate and charter including promotion of gender equality.
Position Requirements
Degree in Agriculture, Economics, Business Management, Entreprenuership, Development Studies, Agribusiness and other related fields.
Minimum of 2 years of work experience in implementing livelihood/IGA, TVET interventions or projects
Experience in food security, livelihoods, CVA, IGA and enterprise development programming
Good communication skills, including fluency in Hausa and English Languages
Willingness and ability to travel and be based in remote areas, where services are limited.
