Job Title: FSL Assistant
Location: Sokoto
Reporting to: FSL Officer
Key Responsibilities
Mission 1: Support in the implementation of Livelihoods, and Economic recovery component of the RECAP Project.
Task and Responsibilities:
Support in the day-to-day detailed planning and field level implementation for FSL interventions in collaboration and support from the FSL Officer
Actively undertake mapping of most vulnerable groups and coordinate beneficiary selection, cash disbursement and regular monitoring of FSL activities including cash utilization by target beneficiaries
At field level, ensure program quality and adherence to program objectives, including respect of Action Against Hunger (ACF) technical guidelines, systems, and established deadlines
Contribute to organizational and sector-wide learning through supporting documentation of lessons learned and best practices from the Social Protection component of the project.
Contribute to preparing internal and external reports including case studies and success stories as relate to FSL project activities.
Mission 2: Support the collection of information and data on the RECAP projects at community level through surveys, assessments and regular post distribution monitoring.
Task and Responsibilities:
Collect information on regular basis to enable surveillance to ensure the RECAP project implementation is achieving the expected result.
Collect and document relevant information from the field to facilitate learning and inform key program decisions with the support of the FSL Officer.
Support the M&E team in planning, collections and management of key program data such as price monitoring, proxy-update, etc.
Support beneficiary registration by collecting accurate beneficiary data the right tools as may be assigned.
Participate in the monitoring and supervision of vendors’ activities before and during disbursement to support beneficiaries’ transaction.
Support the preparation of documentation required for the implementation of the program activities on the field.
Work with the CRM to ensure proper documentation and timely resolution of complaints relating to RECAP FSL program.
Mission 3: Community Mobilization and awareness creation on the organization, program objectives and activities to local authorities and the community members
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of project community mobilization strategies for successful targeting and registration of beneficiaries for the RECAP project interventions.
Implement sensitization activities for targeted communities about organization and project objectives and activities with support from Community Volunteers, traditional leaders and other key stakeholders.
Support the verification of the beneficiaries to ensure the project reach only the most vulnerable households.
Work with the community structures to ensure that targeting of beneficiaries for Livelihoods and other assistance are transparent, and principled with active participation of women and minority members of communities.
Facilitate good working relationship between ACF and other actors through full participation in community/Ward level coordination.
Ensure with the support of the FSL Officer those processes involved in providing assistance to the beneficiaries guarantees protection and are gender sensitive and context appropriate.

Position Requirements
National Diploma in Agriculture, Economics, Business Management or related field
Minimum of 1 year of work experience in implementing food security and livelihood projects
Experience and understanding of issues in agricultural, livelihoods and economic recovery
Good communication skills
Experience using computer, results oriented and able to take initiative.
