Job Summary
Fezi Pharmacy & Stores is seeking a dedicated and highly professional Staff Pharmacist to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, counseling patients, managing pharmaceutical inventory, and ensuring full compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards.
The role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills, strong clinical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
The Staff Pharmacist will oversee daily pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, medication management, patient education, and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will maintain accurate records, monitor stock levels, support quality assurance processes, and contribute to the overall efficiency and growth of the pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
Dispensing Medications:
Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions.
Verify prescription authenticity and correctness.
Ensure all prescriptions comply with legal and regulatory standards.
Properly label, package, and document dispensed medications.
Patient Counseling:
Educate patients on correct medication usage, dosage, side effects, and interactions.
Advise on over-the-counter (OTC) medications and general healthcare needs.
Provide clear answers to patient questions on medications and health concerns.
Medication & Pharmacy Management:
Provide drug information and usage guidelines to patients.
Arrange newly received medications on designated shelves.
Monitor patient adherence to prescriptions and follow up where necessary.
Stay updated with best practices, healthcare regulations, and industry developments.
Track and remove expired products from inventory.
Process prescriptions, including OTC and controlled substances.
Maintain and update inventory and stock records.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure full adherence to federal, state, and local pharmacy laws.
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, controlled drugs, and pharmacy inventory.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements in daily operations.
Inventory Management:
Order, receive, and organize pharmaceutical inventory.
Ensure medications are stored safely and under proper conditions.
Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Quality Assurance & Safety:
Implement safety protocols to prevent medication errors.
Carry out internal audits and quality assurance checks.
Promote and maintain safe medication practices.
Research, Education & Pricing:
Stay updated on new drugs, therapies, and healthcare innovations.
Assist management in determining medication pricing and markups.
Monitor market price changes and adjust accordingly.
Requirements
Education:
B.Pharm or Pharm.D from an accredited institution.
Current license to practice pharmacy (or eligibility for licensing).
Experience:
Previous experience as a pharmacist or internship experience in a community pharmacy is an added advantage.
Fresh graduates who meet the skill requirements may also be considered.
