Job Title: Senior Principal Technical Data Analyst

About the Role

• We are seeking a world-class Senior Principal Technical Data Analyst to design, manage, and interpret complex enterprise-level data systems.
• This is not a standard data analyst role — the ideal candidate is highly technical, capable of engineering data pipelines, building advanced analytics frameworks, and influencing system architecture. They will translate raw and complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions, product enhancements, and operational efficiency.
• Candidates must have verifiable experience in FinTech, Banking, Insurance, HealthTech, EdTech, or core technology domains, meet US senior-level technical standards, and hold advanced data, analytics, or cloud certifications.

Key Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Architecture:

• Define and implement data collection, storage, and processing strategies for enterprise-scale systems.
• Design and maintain cloud-native data pipelines, data lakes, and real-time streaming architectures.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure scalable, high-performance, and secure data solutions.
• Translate business requirements into advanced data models, analytical frameworks, and ETL pipelines.

Advanced Analytics & Insights:

• Analyze complex datasets from multiple sources to provide actionable insights for business, engineering, and product teams.
• Build predictive, prescriptive, and diagnostic models using statistical, ML, or AI frameworks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Identify and quantify risks, anomalies, and opportunities using data-driven approaches.

Data Governance & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC2, and other regulatory standards.
• Establish and enforce data quality, integrity, security, and auditing practices.
• Lead data validation, reconciliation, and anomaly detection for critical systems.

Technical Leadership & Mentoring:

• Mentor junior data analysts, data engineers, and cross-functional teams on data modeling, analytics, and cloud data practices.
• Lead technical workshops and training on data engineering, analytics frameworks, and cloud-based solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure data pipelines and analytics models integrate seamlessly with production systems.

Required Experience

• 10+ years in technical data analysis, data engineering, or advanced analytics roles.
• Verifiable experience in FinTech, Banking, Insurance, HealthTech, EdTech, or core technology platforms.
• Hands-on technical expertise with:
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Data Engineering & ETL: Spark, Hadoop, Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift
  • Programming & Analytics: Python, R, SQL, Scala, PySpark
  • BI & Visualization: Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Grafana
  • Machine Learning / AI: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn (optional but advantageous)
• Experience designing and managing enterprise-grade data pipelines and analytics platforms.
• Experience in cross-functional, globally distributed teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executives, engineering, and product teams.
• Must pass security and background checks.
• Must pass a rigorous technical assessment.

• Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate
• AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
• Google Professional Data Engineer
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer
• Advanced SQL / Python / Cloud certifications
• Security or governance certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are advantageous

Salary
N1,000,000 - N1,300,000 monthly.
