Job Title: Senior Principal Technical Data Scientist

About the Role

• KloudOpp Limited is seeking a world-class Senior Principal Technical Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives for enterprise-grade software systems.
• This is not a standard data science role — the ideal candidate must be highly technical, capable of designing production-ready ML/AI pipelines, leading advanced analytics, and influencing system architecture. They will translate complex datasets into predictive, prescriptive, and actionable insights that drive strategic business, product, and operational decisions.
• Candidates must have verifiable experience in FinTech, Banking, Insurance, HealthTech, EdTech, or other core technology domains, meet US senior-level technical standards, and hold advanced data science, ML/AI, or cloud certifications.

Key Responsibilities
Advanced Analytics & Machine Learning:

• Design and implement machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics pipelines for enterprise systems.
• Translate business and technical requirements into predictive, prescriptive, and diagnostic models.
• Develop and validate statistical models, algorithms, and AI frameworks for critical business problems.
• Integrate ML/AI models into production systems, microservices, or cloud-native applications.

Data Strategy & Architecture:

• Lead the design of scalable data pipelines, feature engineering frameworks, and data validation processes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure robust, secure, and high-performance ML/AI infrastructure.
• Build and maintain real-time and batch processing pipelines for structured and unstructured data.

Technical Leadership;

• Serve as primary technical liaison for data science initiatives across engineering, product, and business teams.
• Lead model design reviews, code audits, and architecture validation.
• Mentor junior data scientists, analysts, and engineers in ML/AI, statistical modeling, and production deployment.

Governance & Compliance;

• Ensure models and data pipelines comply with PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC2, and other regulatory standards.
• Implement model governance, monitoring, explainability, and risk assessment.
• Conduct data integrity, quality checks, and anomaly detection for critical systems.

Metrics & Insights:

• Define technical KPIs, model performance metrics, and monitoring dashboards.
• Analyze system performance and model outcomes to provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for model errors, bias, or failures and recommend corrective action.

Required Experience

• 10+ years in technical data science, machine learning, or AI roles.
• Verifiable experience in FinTech, Banking, Insurance, HealthTech, EdTech, or core technology platforms.
• Hands-on technical expertise with:
  • Programming & ML Frameworks: Python, R, Scala, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn
  • Data Engineering & Pipelines: Spark, Hadoop, Airflow, Kafka, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Data Analytics & Visualization: SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, Looker
  • Advanced Techniques: NLP, Computer Vision, Recommendation Systems, Predictive Modeling
• Experience designing enterprise-grade ML/AI systems for production.
• Experience in cross-functional, globally distributed teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence executives, engineering, and product teams.
• Must pass security and background checks.
• Must pass a rigorous technical assessment.

Preferred Certifications:

• TensorFlow Developer Certificate
• AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
• Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer
• Databricks Certified Data Scientist
• Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
• Security or governance certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are advantageous.
