Job Summary
The Head of IT & Enrolment is responsible for leading and managing all technology systems, digital platforms, member enrolment processes, and data integrity functions within the HMO.
The role ensures seamless operations of IT infrastructure, secure handling of member information, efficient onboarding of clients, and continuous improvement of enrolment systems in compliance with NHIA standards
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, technically skilled, and experienced in health insurance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Information Technology Leadership:
Oversee all IT operations, including hardware, software, networking, and digital platforms used across the HMO.
Maintain and optimize the HMO’s enrolment platforms, CRM, claims systems, and member portals.
Ensure system uptime, backups, cybersecurity compliance, disaster recovery planning, and data protection.
Develop and implement IT policies, standards, and best practices for the organization.
Provide technical support for staff and ensure timely resolution of IT-related issues.
Lead system upgrades, integrations, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency.
Supervise IT vendors, ensuring quality service delivery and adherence to SLAs.
Implement tools to enhance data accuracy, analytics, and reporting for management decision-making.
Enrolment Management:
Lead and supervise the enrolment team to ensure accurate onboarding of individuals, corporate groups, and NHIA program enrollees.
Ensure timely generation, validation, and issuance of ID cards or digital member IDs.
Oversee data entry, cleaning, validation, and cross-checking to minimize errors and duplication.
Ensure enrolment processes comply with NHIA Act 2022, accreditation requirements, and data privacy laws.
Coordinate with Business Development, Client Service, and Claims for smooth client onboarding and timely activation.
Maintain updated client database and enrolment records for audits and reporting.
Introduce automation tools to reduce manual processing time and improve enrollee experience.
Compliance & Reporting:
Prepare periodic reports on enrolment activities, IT operations, downtime, system performance, and data quality.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance and Compliance team to support NHIA accreditation and audits.
Ensure strict confidentiality and secure handling of all enrolment and health-related information.
Monitor regulatory updates from NHIA and update enrolment processes as required.
Team Leadership:
Train and supervise IT and enrolment staff to improve technical skills and performance.
Assign tasks, monitor workflow, and ensure productivity targets are met.
Maintain a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence.
Participate in strategy development for IT growth, digital transformation, and enrolment expansion.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Information Management, or related fields
Minimum of 7 years' experience in IT, enrolment, or data management roles—preferably in an HMO or healthcare setting.
Experience supervising a technical or enrolment team is required.
Strong knowledge of NHIA enrolment requirements, healthcare systems, and regulatory standards.
Proficiency in database management, CRM tools, networking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Certifications in IT (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA, ITIL) or data management are an added advantage.
