Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Road Engineer to plan, design, supervise, and maintain road construction and rehabilitation projects.
• The successful candidate will ensure that all road works are executed in line with approved designs, specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, design, and supervise road construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance works.

• Interpret and implement approved road designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control of materials and workmanship.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel.
• Ensure proper earthworks, drainage, pavement layers, and asphalt/concrete works.
• Monitor project schedules, costs, and resource utilization.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare progress reports, site records, and technical documentation.
• Liaise with surveyors, project managers, consultants, and government agencies.
• Identify construction challenges and recommend practical engineering solutions.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 7–17 years of experience in road construction and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of road design, pavement structures, drainage systems, and construction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Added Advantage:

• Professional certification or registration (e.g., COREN, NSE).
• Experience working on highways, estate roads, or urban road networks.
• Knowledge of asphalt, concrete, and soil stabilization techniques.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: N300,000 - N500,000 / month.
• Competitive salary (commensurate with experience)
• Project and site allowances.
