We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: CCTV Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT) 

Main Function

• The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and property.
• The role involves observing live camera feeds, reviewing recorded footage, reporting incidents, and supporting the security team in preventing and investigating security breaches.
• The ideal candidate must be alert, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality while working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities
CCTV Monitoring & Surveillance:

• Monitor live CCTV camera feeds across guest areas, entrances, exits, and back-of-house locations.
• Detect and report suspicious activities, safety hazards, or security breaches promptly.
• Maintain continuous observation during assigned shifts to ensure full coverage.

Incident Reporting & Documentation:

• Record all incidents, irregular activities, and observations accurately in the security logbook.
• Prepare incident reports with clear timelines and factual details.
• Escalate issues immediately to the Security Supervisor or Duty Manager.

Footage Review & Evidence Handling:

• Retrieve and review recorded footage when required.
• Safely store and handle video evidence in line with security procedures.
• Ensure footage is not deleted, altered, or shared without authorization.

System Operation & Maintenance Support:

• Operate CCTV systems, monitors, recording devices, and basic access control systems.
• Perform basic system checks and report camera faults, blind spots, or recording failures.
• Coordinate with maintenance or IT teams for technical support when needed.

Security Support:

• Support security officers by providing camera coverage during patrols and incidents.
• Assist during emergencies such as theft, accidents, fire alarms, or disturbances.
• Follow emergency response procedures and assist in investigations.

Compliance & Confidentiality:

• Maintain strict confidentiality of surveillance information and footage.
• Ensure monitoring activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
• Avoid misuse of surveillance systems for personal reasons.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with the security team and management to ensure effective security operations.
• Participate in shift handovers and security briefings.
• Attend training sessions to stay updated on security procedures and system upgrades.

Experience / Qualification

• Minimum of an SSCE; training in security operations or CCTV monitoring is an advantage.
• 1 – 3 years experience as a CCTV Operator or in a security-related role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of CCTV systems, camera controls, and recording software.
• Ability to operate computers and monitoring equipment.
• Experience working in hotels, malls, or commercial facilities is an advantage.
