Job Title:Pharmacy Storekeeper
Location: Kebbi

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Execute the pharmacy/medical warehouse storing activities to keep pharmacy stock above security level and following recommended conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.) under the supervision of the Pharmacy Supervisor, and in collaboration with the medical and logistics team.
Accountabilities:
Supervising material orders and dispatching to ensure rational use (end user units).
Receiving orders and deliveries, identifying potential disparities against cargo manifest or others and reporting them, and stores materials in accordance with the system in force, in order to ensure continuous availability.
Ensuring good storage conditions of all medical items in the pharmacy in accordance with pharmaceutical standards to ensure continuous availability.
Ensuring correct fill in entries on the stock cards and software.
Carrying out or participating in regular inventories including EPREP stock.
Following up stock levels with regards to alarms thresholds, stock out, expiry dates and drugs to expire in the following 6 months.
Preparing orders of the different consumption units (departments, wards, others), ensuring proper packaging, and dispatching and reporting any anomalies or changes in consumption patterns to the Pharmacy Supervisor.
Informing Pharmacy Supervisor or Pharmacy Manager as soon as stock reaches alert limit.
Controlling storage area facilities to ensure materials are kept in good conditions. e.g. Monitoring temperature in the storage area and the cupboards and ensuring that products requiring cold chain are suitably received, stored, transported according to MSF Supply and Cold Chain protocols.
Ensuring cleanliness of premises (stock pharmacy) and in close collaboration with the logistics department, maintaining refrigerating equipment.
Controlling storage area limited access to authorized personnel and ensuring doors and other exits are secured and immediately informing the line manager of any problems arising in the course of the work, particularly with regards to damage, loss, attempted break-ins, or theft in the pharmacy.
Ensuring that items to be quarantined (on-going quality alerts) are placed in quarantine zone (batch recalls, expired or damaged items) are removed from the stock and safely locked away.
Following up stock levels with regards to alarms thresholds, stock outs, expiry dates and drugs to expire in the following 6 months. Preparing reports and passing it to the supervisor.
Context Specific Accountabilities:
Manage and control the use of medical and biomedical inputs in outreach, with the aim of promoting effective and rational use in ATFC and ICCM.
Ensure the establishment and effective use of an input management system and efficient supply in quality and in real time, considering the necessary proactivity to avoid any form of disruption.
Promote a management policy system resulting in reducing losses through expiration and damaged products, sleeping stocks and overstock.
Support the medical team in ordering inputs, continually informing them about the status of the central project stock.
Provide effective support in the management, storage and delivery of controlled products, their traceability and use according to WHO, MSF and Nigerian regulations.
Ensure monitoring of the use of inputs in the units by producing a regular report or on request, of the stock status (inventory, expired and damaged, justification of use, etc.).
Ensure the secure routing of any delivery or return of items from the service units to the central pharmacy and vice versa.
Organize or participate in briefings, training and internships for staff involved in the management and use of medical inputs, including logistical elements (Ex: Cold chain)
Minimum Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in pharmacy management or related studies / with authorization to work in Nigeria.
Certification in inventory or supply chain management is beneficial.
Experience:
At least 2 years’ experience in Pharmacy Store management
Desirable: Experience with MSF or other INGO.
Prior experience handling medicines, consumables, and medical supplies is preferred
Languages
Knowledge
Essential: Local languages (Hausa, Fulani, Suru)
Desirable: English (mission language)
Essential: Basic knowledge of Microsofot Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint
