Job Title: OSP Splicing Supervisor

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage teams responsible for fiber optic cable splicing, jointing, and termination
• Review fiber plans and splicing schedules to coordinate daily work activities.
• Ensure accurate OTDR, power meter, and light source testing after splicing
• Validate and document all splicing and testing works according to project specifications.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure splicing meets GVA and international standards.
• Liaise with the design teams for resolving mismatches or fiber cable routing issues.
• Provide guidance, training, and performance monitoring for splicing technician
• Maintain splicing tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Prepare daily reports on splicing progress, issues, and completed links.
• Enforce safety procedures during splicing operations.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in OSP fiber splicing and testing, preferably on FTTH projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with OTDR, fusion splicers, power meter, and fiber identification tools.
• Understanding of fiber route documentation, jointing schematics, and color codes.
• Ability to manage multiple splicing teams and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with safety procedures in outdoor/OSP environments.
• Good reporting and communication skills (Excel, PDF, Forms).
• Experience working in Ibadan or similar regions is an added advantage.
