Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Take lead to harmonize and ensure coherence of project strategies for the following project areas: Comprehensive Adolescent and Pediatric Clinical Care, PMTCT, Adult and Pediatric ART.
Coordinate the AP3 team efforts to ensure that project workplans, HIV/AIDS services and technical field operations are carried out consistently with the national and international standards.
Provide technical leadership and support to other sub grants on the CIHP portfolio for effective and efficient start-up, implementation and coordination including as required in FY
Nurture a “quality mindset” among all project staff, mainstreaming quality in all technical program areas by ensuring SOPs are available and are being used/applied by all Project program staff and health workers at service-delivery points.
Provides leadership for the effective Adolescent and pediatric case finding and patient retention strategies including client centered DSD.
Contribute to technical writing endeavors for the organization, including but not limited to grants, presentations, abstracts and manuscripts and conference participation.
Design and follow through the implementation of a capacity building strategy for project staff and the health workforce at supported facilities in provision of quality clinical HIV/AIDS care.
Provide technical inputs into project activities, including activity design, work planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation in coordination with the deputy director CSU and the director CSU.
Assist with the management, development and monitoring of work plans and budgets; ensure appropriate levels of technical assistance for interventions.
Provide technical assistance through the review and/or writing of proposals, protocols, papers, reports to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
In collaboration with the DPD/TD, oversee the implementation of an indicator-based performance monitoring plan.
Support the DPD/TD to ensure service integration for PLHIV including COVID-19, TB, other communicable and non-communicable diseases and maximize the use of available resources of the project.
Represent the organzationand liaise regularly with the National HIV/AIDS stakeholders to bring their experiences to bear on project work while also sharing project experiences to influence practice.
Any other duties as assigned.
Edication and Experience
Post-graduate degree (MPH, MD, MPA, Med. or other relevant degree) with at least(10) years’ experience in the public and/or private health sectors.
Minimum of four years’ experience in a senior position providing technical assistance/ training to health facility clinical staff, institutions, or NGOs in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care.environment
Experience working in a CDC / DOS / USG / PEPFAR
Frequent local travel in Nigeria and familiarity with varied geographic, ethnic, and cultural environments.
