Job Title: Legal & Compliance Lead

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Description

• We are looking for a smart, strategic, and business-savvy Legal & Compliance Lead to take ownership of all legal, regulatory, and risk-related matters across our operations.
• This is a full-time role for a self-starter who’s ready to build internal legal systems, protect company interests, and ensure legal compliance in areas ranging from real estate transactions to short-stay operations, contract reviews, regulatory engagement, and risk advisory.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Reviewing property titles, deeds, and land documentation
• Drafting contracts (sales, MOUs, vendor, employment, etc.)
• Leading legal due diligence for property verification
• Managing compliance with FCCPC and other regulations
• Advising on disputes, agreements, and risk exposures
• Training teams and setting up internal legal structures.

What You’ll Need

• Candidates should possess an LLB and called to the Nigerian Bar with 3–6 years post-call.
• Strong grasp of Nigerian land/property laws
• Solid contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Sharp thinking, business focus, and problem-solving ability
• Experience in real estate, startup, or service businesses is a strong plus
