Job Title: Male Outfit Tailor (Specializing in Bespoke & Ready-to-Wear)

The Role

• We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Male Outfit Tailor to join our team.
• In this role, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional menswear; from custom bespoke suits and traditional attire to contemporary ready-to-wear pieces.
• You will work closely with our design and fitting teams to bring client visions to life, ensuring every garment reflects JEM Clotaire’s commitment to quality, fit, and style.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret design sketches, patterns, and take client measurements to create high-quality male garments, including suits, blazers, trousers, traditional wears (e.g., agbada, kaftans), and casual wear.
• Perform fittings, adjustments, and alterations to achieve the perfect fit and client satisfaction.
• Operate industrial and specialized tailoring equipment (e.g., sewing machines, sergers, pressing tools) with precision.
• Select appropriate fabrics, linings, and trims in collaboration with the design team.
• Maintain an organized and efficient workspace, ensuring tools and materials are well-kept and keeping accurate records of customer orders and measurement.
• Adhere to production timelines and quality standards for both bespoke and ready-to-wear collections.
• Stay updated on menswear trends, tailoring techniques, and fabric innovations.
• Collaborate with team members including communications team to create content creation for publishing on various social media handles
• Maintain clean finishing and high-quality craftsmanship in all garments

Who You Are (Qualifications & Skills)

• 4-6 years of professional experience in menswear tailoring, with a strong portfolio showcasing bespoke and ready-to-wear pieces.
• Expertise in pattern drafting, cutting, sewing, fitting, and finishing techniques for male garments.
• Proficiency in handling a variety of fabrics, including suit wools, linens, cottons, and traditional textiles.
• Strong attention to detail, with an eye for precision in stitching, alignment, and overall garment construction.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced studio environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.
• Formal training in fashion design or tailoring is preferred but not required if portfolio demonstrates exceptional skill.
