Job Purpose
As a member of the COCT team, the position supports the site’s implementation team on HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs at the facility and community levels.
The incumbent will support Adult ART, TB/HIV and Treatment Support program planning, design, review, and monitoring. The incumbent is to be supervised by the State Technical Lead
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Drive, support activities, strategies and plans geared towards the optimization of viral load demand creation, sample collection, coverage, and suppression across the NGOsupported facilities
Support strategies and activities for the full integration of U=U into the comprehensive HIV service delivery across he NGO supported facilities.
Support strategies and activities to optimize the implementation and operationalization of effective patient retention strategies including the various differentiated service delivery models across he NGO supported facilities.
Support the optimization of TB/HIV integration services to optimize case finding, TB prophylaxis with TPT and treatment commencement.
Develop and implement strategies to improve ART adherence and retention in care including uptake of differentiated service delivery models (both facility and community based) including adolescent care.
Build the capacity of facility and community case management teams to provide quality, client-centered treatment support services.
Support the onsite team in achieving targets of key program indicators through effective coordination and participation of technical review meetings.
Supports the timely generation, transmission, and review of program data and performance reports across program area.
Perform any other tasks assigned by the State Technical Lead and State Program Director.
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine, Public Health or a related field; or a Master’s or equivalent in public health or related fields
2-3 years’ post NYSC experience in developing country health care programs or program support function
Knowledge of the policies, regulations, reporting formats, and cultures of principal donors, including USAID, CDC/PEPFAR, and others
Extensive clinical experience in care and treatment of HIV/AIDS patients
Demonstrated experience in non-profit sector in a program management role
Strong supervisory and management skills
Ability to lead teams and promote cross learning
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and make reasoned judgments in a timely fashion. Committing to a course of action without undue delay or prevarication
Willingness to work under challenging environments and difficult terrains.
