Role Overview

• Our client, a startup fintech with products just entering the market with focus on payment & cross-border Remittance in Nigeria and across other Africa countries is seeking an experienced and dynamic Technology Project Delivery Leader to lead and manage all technology projects transitioning into production.
• This role requires a seasoned full-stack developer with strong solution architecture expertise, a deep understanding of information security, and a proven track record in leading end-to-end development, deployment, and operation of software systems in financial services industry.
• The ideal candidate will also possess excellent project management and leadership skills, ensuring the seamless delivery of innovative fintech solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership:

• Provide technical oversight and direction for projects, ensuring robust solution architecture and scalability.
• Review and approve technical designs, frameworks, and implementation strategies.
• Conduct code reviews and support development teams in overcoming complex technical challenges.
• Ensure adherence to industry best practices in software development, deployment, and maintenance.

Project Management and Delivery:

• Manage end-to-end delivery of all technology projects transitioning into production, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, compliance, and business units, to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.

Information Security:

• Integrate information security best practices into all project phases, from design to deployment.
• Work closely with the security team to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).

Stakeholder Management:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire technical teams to deliver outstanding results.
• Act as a key point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of expectations.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the team.

Performance Metrics and Reporting:

• Establish metrics to measure project performance and ensure continuous improvement.
• Prepare and deliver regular progress updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure proper documentation for all projects, including technical specifications and operational procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of experience in software development as a full-stack developer, including significant solution architecture expertise.
• Proven track record of managing and delivering large-scale technology projects, especially in the fintech space.
• Strong knowledge of information security practices and compliance requirements for financial services.
• Experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based architectures.
• Proficient in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, React Native, .NET).
• Strong understanding of API development, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Expertise in at least one cloud platform (AWS preferred) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Must have led a technology team of a minimum of 10 team members in the past.

Salary
N1,000,000 - N2,500,000 monthly
