Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited was incorporated in December 2009 with the business objective of providing financial service to micro clients who were excluded from the mainstream financial system. It commenced operations in June 2010 upon obtaining a Unit Microfinance Banking License from the Central Bank of Nigeria. It later obtained a State Microfinance Banking License in 2016. Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited’s financial inclusion effort focuses on promoting savings culture, access to credit facilities for income-generation purposes and reducing vulnerability to risk through micro insurance.

The Bank’s major strategic focus employs the group lending methodology in its operations with a leaning towards women. It believes in the commitment of women folk to work hard and help their families conquer poverty. As such, more than 95% of the Bank’s lending activities focuses on women. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Team Lead, Financial Control

Location: Ogba Industrial Estate, Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, income statements, and balance sheet reviews
• Conduct weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
• Manage treasury and cash flow to ensure liquidity
• Prepare monthly journals and general ledger reconciliations
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register
• Ensure prompt posting of transactions and accuracy of financial records
• Prepare and submit CBN regulatory monthly and annual reports
• Handle PAYE and WHT remittances and documentation
• Liaise with tax consultants, regulatory authorities, and external auditors
• Coordinate and support internal and external audit exercises
• Conduct financial analysis to support management decision-making
• Lead, mentor, and supervise finance team members
• Raise internal memos and support process improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory guidelines

Qualifications, Experience & Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
• ACA/ICAN or ACCA qualification (or in view) is mandatory
• Minimum of 5 years’ cognate experience in financial control, accounting, or audit within a bank or microfinance institution
• Sound knowledge of CBN regulatory framework and microfinance bank operations
• Strong understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and financial reporting standards
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Strong leadership, analytical, and risk-awareness skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and core banking/accounting systems
