Responsibilities
Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes.
Analyse industry developments and assess their potential impact on the business.
Client Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Engage with potential clients to introduce services and solutions offered by the company.
Conduct regular follow-ups and feedback sessions to address client needs.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve growth targets.
Identify and prioritize target markets and sectors for new business opportunities.
Collaborate with senior management to align business development initiatives with company goals.
Sales and Marketing:
Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to prospective clients.
Develop and manage the sales pipeline, including monitoring leads and conversions.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns that highlight the company's offerings.
Proposal Development:
Develop and write proposals, presentations, and reports for potential clients.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor proposals that meet client requirements.
Networking and Partnerships:
Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to connect with potential clients and partners.
Identify potential partnerships and alliances that can enhance service offerings or expand market reach.
Financial Analysis:
Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting to assess project viability.
Evaluate pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
Project Management:
Oversee the execution of business development initiatives and ensure alignment with operational capabilities.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
Reporting and Performance Tracking:
Prepare regular reports on business development activities, performance metrics, and progress towards goals.
Analyse performance data to refine strategies and improve future outcomes.
Team Collaboration and Leadership:
Work closely with various departments such as operations, finance, and marketing to coordinate efforts and share insights.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff in business development operations.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure all business development activities align with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Identify potential risks in business dealings and devise mitigation strategies.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements.
Advocate for adopting innovative solutions to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field
Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
Strong Analytical Skills
Effective Communication and Interpersonal Communication skills
Experience in Customer Service
Knowledge of Business principles
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
