Christian Miracle Hospital is an NHIS-accredited fibroid, ovarian cyst, appendicitis and maternity hospital in Nigeria; established in 1992. We are located at No. 3 Akutu Crescent office Pascan Jake bus stop opposite Pine Crest School Enugu,Independence Layout Enugu state. We offer the best gynaecological, fertility and maternity services to our clients and patients. Our in-house laboratory is quality assured, and our dispensary stocks quality drugs and other medical consumables. We run antenatal clinics and fertility clinics every Tuesday.

Job Title: Nurse (NYSC)
Location: Enugu
Job Summary
To provide high-quality antenatal and delivery care while acting as a primary relationship manager for expectant mothers, ensuring they choose CMH for delivery and refer others.
Key Duties (Medical & Marketing):
Clinical Sales: Actively "sell" the hospital’s delivery packages during antenatal visits. Convince patients of the safety and spiritual benefits of delivering at CMH.
Referral Program: Each Midwife is expected to generate 5 new antenatal registrations, attract 1 child birth/ delivery/surgery per month through personal evangelism, church visitation, or community/influence group networking.
Patient Retention: Maintain a "Mom-to-Be" contact list. Call registered patients weekly to check up on them (Customer Service) and ensure they do not defect to competitors.
Cross-Selling: Encourage antenatal patients to use the hospital’s lab and scan services rather than going elsewhere.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Midwife at Christian Miracle Hospital in Enugu North.
The midwife will be responsible for providing compassionate care to patients, administering medications, monitoring patient health, assisting in medical procedures, and maintaining accurate medical records.
The role will require working closely with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
The Midwife will play a critical role in supporting labour through antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods, ensuring excellent maternal and neonatal outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in “catching babies”, managing labor confidently, and creating a safe, respectful, and faith-friendly birth environment.

Qualifications
Current Rm/RN license in Enugu State
Experience: 3+ years in a busy maternity hospital.
Patient care, Medication Administration, and Health Monitoring skills
Experience in assisting in medical procedures and surgeries
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical records
Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Previous experience in obstetrics and gynecology is a plus
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Additional certifications in Maternal and Newborn Health, Neonatal Resuscitation, or Emergency Obstetric Care are highly desirable.
Born-again Christian, with training in faith-sensitive or Christian medical care is an asset.
Proven track record of successfully managing normal deliveries from labor to expulsion and immediate newborn care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide holistic antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to mothers and their newborns,
Awareness on pregnancy, delivery, and their complications, related health promotion, hygiene, nutrition and immunization.
Monitor fetal and maternal well-being during labor and delivery using evidence-based protocols.
Confidently and safely “catch babies” — assist in spontaneous vaginal deliveries, including management of normal and complicated births.
Identify and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies.
Assist in health education and counseling for mothers and families.
Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely clinical documentation.
Provide faith-sensitive emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
Participate in clinical training sessions, outreach programs, and community maternal health advocacy.
Adhere strictly to infection prevention and patient safety standards.
Uphold the Christian values and mission of CMH in all patient interactions.
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
Resident in or willing to relocate to Enugu, Nigeria.

Ability to work under pressure and manage emergencies gracefully.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Demonstrated expertise in spontaneous vaginal deliveries (“catching babies”).
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to maternal care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in monitoring vital signs, fetal heart tones, and labor progression.
Ability to manage complications or refer when necessary (e.g. breech, PPH, obstructed labor).
Familiarity with childbirth positioning techniques, perineal care, and postpartum recovery.
Competence in documenting births and outcomes clearly and ethically.
Strong sense of responsibility, emotional maturity, and teamwork.
A faith-aligned, prayerful outlook is an added advantage.
