We are a growing e-commerce company based in Lagos. We sell via landing pages and social media, operating a Cash-on-Delivery (COD) model with third-party delivery agents across Nigeria.
We're building our operations team and need a hands-on coordinator to manage daily dispatch and inventory activities
You will be the operational link between our warehouse, delivery agents (DAs), and customers. This is a practical, daily execution role — not a desk job. You will regularly travel to motor parks to dispatch goods to DAs across different locations.
This role is not for an ajebutter — the motor parks are rugged.
Core Responsibilities
Inventory & Stock Custody:
Receive and record incoming stock from suppliers
Allocate buffer stock to delivery agents based on their delivery velocity
Track stock custody transfers to DAs (stock on loan, not sold until delivered)
Conduct weekly stock reconciliation with DAs (photo verification, physical counts)
Investigate and report stock variances or discrepancies
Monitor low stock levels and flag reorder needs
Delivery Agent Coordination:
Onboard new delivery agents (documentation, training on process)
Verify DA guarantors — in-person visit, ID collection, liability signing, workplace/address verification
Ensure guarantor accountability before DA handles any cash or stock
Assign orders to DAs based on location coverage
Hand over goods to DAs at dispatch point with proper documentation
Track DA stock balances and delivery performance
Follow up on pending deliveries and delays
Coordinate DA cash remittance (48-hour collection cycle)
Monitor DA cash thresholds — flag when balance gets too high
Handle DA disputes, shortages, and absconding cases
Daily Dispatch Operations:
Process confirmed orders for dispatch
Verify order details before handover (correct items, quantities, customer info)
Travel to motor parks to send goods to DAs in other locations (30 mins or less from office)
Coordinate with park agents and transporters for timely dispatch
Update order status in system (assigned → in transit → delivered)
Handle failed deliveries and returns
Communicate with DAs via WhatsApp for real-time coordination
Who We're Looking For
Required — You MUST Have:
2-4 years experience in warehouse operations, dispatch, or logistics coordination
Experience in COD (Cash on Delivery) e-commerce — landing page businesses, not marketplace platforms
Hands-on experience with delivery agent networks or third-party logistics (3PL)
Understanding of stock custody vs. stock transfer (you know the difference)
Experience with COD cash reconciliation and failed delivery handling
Ability to conduct physical stock counts and reconciliation
Strong attention to detail — errors cost money
Comfortable using WhatsApp, Excel/Google Sheets, and basic inventory apps
Reliable, honest, and physically present daily
Live within easy commute to Oyingbo/Ebute Metta (Mainland Lagos preferred)
Strong Advantage — Experience With:
Working with telesales teams to confirm orders before dispatch
High return/failed delivery environments (you know COD challenges)
DA onboarding, guarantor verification, and fraud prevention
Last-mile delivery coordination in Lagos
Motor park operations and interstate goods dispatch
ERP or inventory management systems (Odoo, Tradegecko, or similar)
Managing delivery agent performance and accountability
You Should Know:
How to calculate DA buffer stock based on delivery velocity
What a 48-hour remittance cycle means
Why stock under custody ≠ stock sold
How to verify stock through photo reconciliation
Why COD businesses have high return rates and how to manage them
How to properly verify a DA's guarantor before onboarding
What to do when a DA absconds with cash or stock
Working Details:
Hours: Monday to Saturday, 8:00am - 6:00pm
Location: On-site daily at Oyingbo, Ebute Metta, Lagos
Reports to: Founder/Managing Director.
What We Offer
Base salary: ₦250,000 / month (gross)
Performance bonus: Up to ₦50,000/month based on:
Delivery success rate at or above 80%
DA cash remittance on time (48-hour rule)
Zero stock variance at weekly reconciliation
No DA absconding incidents
Opportunity to build operations from the ground up
Phone interview (15 min) — we'll ask about your specific experience with DA networks and stock reconciliation
In-person interview with practical scenario questions
Reference check with previous employer
Note
The application form will ask about your COD e-commerce experience and include scenario questions. Only people with real experience can answer them properly.
If you've never worked in COD e-commerce (landing page/social media sales model), this role is not for you.
Important Notes:
Only apply if ₦250,000 (gross) + bonus structure meets your expectations
We need COD e-commerce experience (landing page/social media sales) — Jumia/Konga marketplace experience is NOT what we're looking for
This role requires daily physical presence — no remote work
You will travel to motor parks regularly to dispatch goods — this is not optional
We will verify previous employment and references
Candidates who cannot answer the application question will not be considered.
