Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic, creative, and results-oriented Marketing Manager to lead and execute marketing initiatives for our publishing brand.
The ideal candidate will oversee the promotion of our books, authors, and publishing services, driving visibility, engagement, and sales across digital and physical platforms.
You must be passionate about storytelling, deeply skilled in marketing strategy, and capable of leading campaigns that align with our mission of legacy, impact, and excellence in publishing.
Develop, lead, and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for books, authors, and biography/autobiography publishing services.
Plan and oversee end-to-end marketing campaigns (pre-launch, launch, post-launch).
Create data-driven marketing plans tailored to genre, audience, and distribution channels.
Coordinate and promote virtual and physical book launches, author events, and campaigns.
Identify and secure partnerships with bookstores, media outlets, influencers, and sales channels.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Supervise and guide marketing officers, content creators, and external vendors.
Collaborate with editors, designers, authors, and management to ensure cohesive brand messaging.
Provide marketing direction and support for author branding and public-facing activities.
Content & Digital Marketing Oversight:
Oversee the creation of high-quality marketing content including graphics, captions, blogs, newsletters, reels, and short-form videos.
Manage and optimize social media platforms and email marketing campaigns for engagement and conversion.
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and platforms.
Analytics, Trends & Growth Strategy:
Monitor publishing and digital marketing trends, reader behavior, and platform updates.
Track campaign performance, analyze data, and present actionable insights.
Recommend and implement growth-focused strategies to increase visibility, readership, and sales.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Media, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Proven experience in marketing management, digital marketing, or brand strategy.
Strong knowledge of major platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok.
Hands-on experience with Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar design tools.
Working knowledge of SEO, email marketing, website management, and analytics tools.
Excellent writing, editing, communication, and presentation skills.
Strong leadership, organizational, and project management abilities.
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience in publishing, media, or creative industries.
Familiarity with Amazon KDP, Goodreads, and book marketing ecosystems.
Experience with email marketing automation and CRM tools.
Understanding of genre-specific reader behavior and publishing trends.
Additional creative skills such as photography, video editing, or advanced design.
A passion for books, leadership, and creative excellence is essential.
