Job Title: IT & Infrastructure Manager

Description

• As the IT & Infrastructure  Manager at MAX, you will play a critical role in ensuring the design, installation, supervision, implementation, and maintenance of MAX’s computing needs. You will ensure the secure and effective operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware, and software used within MAX services.

 Responsibilities

• Manage information technology and computer systems
• Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
• Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate IT systems, policies and procedures
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
• Audit systems and assess their outcomes
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures
• Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
• Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure
• Consult computer users to ascertain needs and to ensure that facilities meet user or project requirements
• provide user training, support, advice, and feedback
• Test and modify systems to ensure that they operate reliably
• Manage secure network access for remote users
• Ensure network components meet needs and work together seamlessly, using the full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitive solutions
• Continuously analyze current processes, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement
• Develop and execute disaster procedures, and maintain data backups
• Analyze department needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency and accuracy to inform business decisions

Requirements
What You’ll Need: 

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related course
• 3+ years’ management or supervisory experience
• 7+ years cognate experience in IT operations
• Proven experience (between 3 & 5 years)  in operations management, especially in a field-related role.
• Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
• Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
• Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
