Job Title: Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) / Field Implementation Officer

Background & Purpose of Role
MyItura is implementing a Pathways Impact Fund–supported project to integrate vulnerable families into RMNCH service delivery and embedded health financing (Mediloan). The CHEWs/Field Workers will serve as frontline implementers, supporting:
Community-level outreach,
Segmentation-informed enrollment,
RMNCH pathway testing,
Data capture and learning during pilots.
Their role is operational and directly supports field testing and learning.
Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities
The Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs)/Field Agents will serve as frontline field implementers for MyItura’s Pathways Impact Fund–supported RMNCH intervention.
Under the supervision of MyItura’s Field Operations team, they will be responsible for executing segmentation-informed outreach, enrollment, data collection, and learning activities across targeted communities.
Identification & Segmentation of Vulnerable Households:
Identify, profile, and tag vulnerable households within assigned communities using the Pathways vulnerability segmentation framework.
Apply MyItura’s segmentation tools and workflows to ensure accurate classification and documentation.
Community Outreach & Engagement:
Conduct household and community visits to deliver outreach using segment-specific engagement channels, including:in-person visits,agent-assisted onboarding,and approved scripts and messaging tailored to household decision-makers.
Engage caregivers, women of reproductive age, and key household influencers using culturally appropriate communication.
Support MyItura’s approach to community entry by:engaging community leaders and gatekeepers,and obtaining permission and buy-in before commencing household-level activities.
Needs Assessment & Solution Recommendation
Assess the health, access, and affordability needs of households within each Pathways segment.
Recommend appropriate MyItura service offerings based on identified needs, including:RMNCH service bundles,diagnostics, consultations, and referrals,embedded health financing options (Mediloan) where affordability is a key barrier.
Ensure recommendations are aligned with approved workflows and available MyItura solutions.
Uptake, Outcomes & Performance Tracking:
Track and document key indicators across Pathways segments, including:
service uptake and conversion,adherence to recommended care pathways,repayment (where financing is used),observed health outcomes,cost per engaged beneficiary.
Submit timely and accurate reports using MyItura’s reporting templates and digital tools.
Flag challenges, drop-offs, and barriers affecting uptake or adherence.
Field Testing, Learning & Focus Group Discussions:
Support field testing of segmentation-driven workflows during pilot cycles.
Participate in focus group discussions (FGDs) alongside MyItura staff during initial community engagements to establish baseline qualitative insights.
Contribute field-level insights on:decision-making dynamics,gender and household power structures,affordability and access constraints,community perceptions of RMNCH services and financing.
Feed learnings into iterative improvements of scripts, bundles, and workflows.
Community Mapping & Visual Documentation:
Support community mapping activities by documenting and visually representing:geographic distribution of target communities,population density,age distribution,
income levels,cultural and religious considerations relevant to care-seeking behavior.
Contribute to MyItura’s understanding of spatial and social patterns affecting service access and delivery.
Training, Compliance & Ethical Conduct:
Participate in all required trainings provided by MyItura, including:Pathways segmentation methodology,new RMNCH workflows,data collection and reporting tools,ethics, consent, and safeguarding.
Adhere strictly to project SOPs, confidentiality requirements, and community engagement protocols.
Represent MyItura professionally in all community interactions.
Support Provided by MyItura:
MyItura will:
Train CHEWs on Pathways segmentation and new workflows.
Provide mapped target locations and rollout plans.
Support community entry through structured engagement with community leaders.
Supply approved scripts, tools, and reporting templates.
Provide ongoing supervision and feedback throughout the project duration.
Duration & Exit
The contract ends June 30, 2026, subject to performance and project completion.
