Position Summary
We are seeking a highly professional, polished, and passionate Waiter/Waitress to deliver flawless, anticipatory service in our fine dining restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
Service Excellence & Guest Relations:
Provide warm, attentive, and discreet service, anticipating guest needs before they are expressed.
Execute all steps of service according to the restaurant’s strict standards and sequence.
Build rapport with guests, remembering preferences and ensuring a personalized experience.
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with grace, urgency, and professionalism, escalating to management when necessary.
Ensure the complete satisfaction of every guest, aiming to exceed expectations.
Food & Beverage Knowledge:
Possess and continuously develop expert knowledge of the entire menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and provenance.
Master the wine list, cocktail menu, and other beverages, making confident and suitable pairing recommendations.
Present menus clearly, answer questions authoritatively, and guide guests through their culinary journey.
Operational Duties:
Perform mise-en-place to the highest standard before, during, and after service.
Set tables with precision, ensuring impeccable cleanliness and presentation.
Take accurate orders using the POS system and communicate special requests clearly to the kitchen and sommelier.
Serve food and beverages correctly (from the correct side, with proper placement and description).
Clear tables efficiently and unobtrusively.
Process payments accurately and maintain strict security of financial transactions.
Maintain impeccable personal hygiene and a spotlessly clean station and dining area.
Teamwork & Communication:
Collaborate seamlessly with the kitchen, bar, sommelier, and stewarding teams.
Communicate effectively with the Maître D’ and managers to ensure smooth service flow.
Support colleagues and contribute to a positive, respectful, and high-energy team environment.
Attend daily briefings and training sessions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential:
Interested candidates should possess an SSCE, OND, NCE, HND, or Bachelor's Degree with 2-3 years of experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a fine dining or 5-star hotel environment.
Impepeccable personal presentation, grooming, and posture.
Exceptional command of the English language (verbal and written). Additional languages are a significant advantage.
Profound knowledge of food, wine, and spirits, including service protocols.
Understanding of dietary restrictions and allergies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and emotional intelligence skills.
Ability to remain calm, courteous, and efficient under pressure.
Strong sales ability and passion for hospitality.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
