Redline is an auto repair company with branches in Lagos and Abuja that offers complete vehicle repair and maintenance.The company has been in existence for over 10 years with specialty ranging from mechanical, electrical, A/C repairs & body work, etc.

Job Description

• In the fast-paced world of auto repair, the role of the Automotive Workshop Manager has become indispensable.
• As vehicles evolve and become increasingly complex, the need for skilled individuals who can oversee, manage, and ensure the smooth operation of automotive workshops grows.
• Automotive Workshop Manage roversee the daily operations of automotive service departments.
• They coordinate and direct all the activities of a workshop, manage staff, handle customer satisfaction, and ensure the efficiency of the workshop.

Responsibilities
The main duties and responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the inspection and testing of vehicles to ensure the efficiency and functionality of all systems
• Establishing and implementing operational procedures and policies in the workshop
• Planning and coordinating all workshop activities, including scheduling appointments and allocating tasks to technicians
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe and efficient workshop environment
• Training staff on new technology or machinery, workshop procedures, and safety protocols
• Communicating with clients about vehicle problems, maintenance plans, and repair options
• Managing inventory of tools, parts and equipment, and ordering new supplies as needed
• Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction by handling customer complaints promptly and professionally
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry developments and trends

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automotive Workshop Manager or similar role
• Knowledge of mechanical aspects of vehicles
• Strong leadership and customer management abilities
• Ability to handle and resolve conflicts
• Experience with automotive management software
• Understanding of safety and environmental standards
• An Automotive Workshop Manager should possess the necessary skills and qualifications that cater to the diverse needs of the role, including:
• Technical knowledge of automotive systems and the ability to understand and diagnose vehicle issues.
• Strong leadership skills to manage, train, and motivate a team of mechanics and other automotive professionals.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, staff, and suppliers, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle workshop challenges, customer complaints, and make effective business decisions.
• Business acumen to manage workshop operations, including inventory management, financial planning, and performance monitoring.
• Customer service skills to ensure customer satisfaction, manage customer relations, and boost business growth.
• Organizational skills to schedule service appointments, manage multiple tasks and ensure the smooth running of the workshop.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations to ensure the safety of staff and customers in the workshop.
