We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Senior Inventory Supervisor
Location: Emene, Enugu

Job Summary
The Senior Inventory Supervisor is responsible for strategic and operational control of all inventory activities across multiple stores or warehouses.
The role ensures inventory accuracy, optimal stock levels, compliance with internal controls, and effective supervision of inventory personnel to support uninterrupted production and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilties
Inventory Strategy & Control:
Develop and implement inventory control procedures across all operational units.
Set and monitor minimum, maximum, and re-order levels for raw materials, finished goods, spares, and consumables.
Ensure high inventory accuracy through effective reconciliation and controls.
Lead periodic stock counts (cycle counts, monthly and annual stock takes).
Investigate and resolve inventory variances, losses, damages, and obsolescence.
Multi-Warehouse & Operations Oversight
Coordinate inventory activities across feed mill, hatchery, oil mill, production, and finished goods warehouses (as applicable).
Ensure standardized storage, labeling, stacking, and handling procedures company-wide.
Enforce FIFO/FEFO principles, especially for perishable and expiry-sensitive items.
Ensure proper receiving, issuing, and transfer of materials in line with approved documentation.
Reporting, Audit & Compliance:
Prepare and review consolidated inventory reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
Ensure accurate maintenance of bin cards, stock ledgers, and ERP records.
Support internal and external audits and ensure closure of audit observations.
Enforce compliance with inventory policies, internal controls, and loss-prevention measures.
Leadership & Team Management:
Supervise and mentor Warehouse Supervisors, Storekeepers, and Warehouse Officers.
Allocate duties, set performance targets, and evaluate staff performance.
Train inventory personnel on best practices, system usage, and compliance requirements.
Enforce discipline, safety, and ethical standards within the inventory function.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Work closely with Procurement to support accurate planning and timely replenishment.
Coordinate with Production to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
Liaise with Accounts for inventory valuation, reconciliations, and month-end close.
Support Quality Assurance on material quality, expiry, and compliance issues.
Continuous Improvement & Risk Management:
Identify process gaps and implement improvements to reduce losses and inefficiencies.
Strengthen internal controls to prevent pilferage, misuse, and stock manipulation.
Support ERP/system enhancements and data accuracy initiatives.
Monitor daily stock levels of raw materials, finished goods, spare parts, and consumables.
Ensure accurate recording of all inventory transactions (receipts, issues, transfers, returns).
Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Investigate and report stock discrepancies, losses, or damages promptly.
Qualification & Experience
Minimum of HND / BSc in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
A Master’s Degree would be an added advantage.
5 - 8 years relevant experience in inventory/store management within a manufacturing environment
Proven experience supervising multiple stores or inventory teams
Strong knowledge of inventory systems, internal controls, and audit requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/inventory management software
